DESCRIPTION: Hampden Watch Co., Canton, Ohio, a lady's gold pocket watch, 6 size, 17 jewels, stem wind and lever set, two tone damascene nickel plate movement with lever escapement in a 14 karat, yellow gold, beaded and engraved edge, engine turned and engraved hunting case and roman numeral, single sunk, O'hara style multicolor enamel dial, gilt spade hands, serial #826189, 48.7g TW, c1895.
CONDITION: CASE: Very fine scratches on outer surface of case; Very fine scratches on inner surface of case; Lip on rear cover with filing; Bow replaced; Crown with wear; Precious metal content marked. DIAL: Dirty, otherwise very good. HANDS: Minor oxide, minute. MOVEMENT PLATES: Scattered, fine on plate; Specks of dirt. MOVEMENT FUNCTION: Running order (winds, sets and ticks), would benefit from service.
